Quit downgrading Tony Romo

Tony Romo | Dallas CowboysI need to express an issue, which is really bothering me.  I am so tired of hearing people downgrading Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys, with statements like …
“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; as long as Tony Romo is your starter under center, you’re NOT going to win a Super Bowl!”

Do people not realized that Romo is a Top 10 quarterback , perhaps much higher?  Do people think he plays defense too?  Do people think Romo is responsible for dropped balls by WR’s, fumbles by RB’s and WR’s, bad blocking by the OL and RB’s, etc.  Let’s focus on having a good OL, a top defense, and a healthy Demarco Murray.  Romo will take care of his work.

Quit bad mouthing Tony!  He only had 9 interceptions all season, while playing most of it in extreme pain with injuries.

Randy is right. In the years since Tony Romo has been the starter, the lowest he’s been ranked is eight twice. Except for one year not ranked do to injury, he’s been forth or fifth in the league the rest of the time. It’s the D that needs to step up.

In the first game with the Giants, they had them stopped cold at least twice on the last scoring drive, but they let them continue with automatic first downs. If they hadn’t handed the Giants a score on that last drive, the Giants would never have made it to the Super Bowl, let alone the playoffs. Tony does his job. The Defense needs to do theirs. Hopefully this is the year they do it.

That’s right Randy. Tony is a very good QB. The problem has been JJ and his bineheaded GM moves. Trying to run the team instead of letting his coaches work. Remember people, when JJ was a brand new owner and hired Jimmy Johnson and let him work his magic, we had one of the great draft heists in NFL history and it got us 3 SB wins. That’s right, 3! Switzer gets his becasue of Jimmy’s moves. Jerry has been the slackere the last 13 years. Once he realizes it and gets out of the way, our Cowboys may get back to greatness. Until then, we are doomed to years of frustration.

Frank, I feel that this is the year …. for greatness. DC Ryan will have his first full off-season (nothing last year) and improved FA talent. The defense should be much better and the offense (with D Murray) should be up there with the best. I am looking forward to the NFL Draft.
