Fixing the Dallas Cowboys:

Jerry Jones | Dallas Cowboys: Jason Garrett and Tony Romo at Cowboys StadiumJerry Jones needs to fire the GM … enough said!  Look at all the GM’s in the NFL (and other sports).   You will notice there are more GM turnovers, than you realize.  Jerry Jones! So much so, that most general managers in the NFL only lasts two coaching hires.  Hey, Jerry Jones! If you do not prove yourself in that small amount of time, you will be gone … fired …. kicked to the curb.  Hey, Jerry Jones! Well, Jerry will be on his eighth coach if and when he replaces Jason  Garrett.  Seriously, how many GM’s in any Pro League (NBA, NFL, MLB, NCAA, NHL, Nascar, etc) allow 7 or 8 coaching changes, before they are hired.  If you’re not winning with eight coaches, it should not take you more than 10 seconds to figure out you’re the problem.  Let me state that again … If you’re not winning with eight coaches, it should not take you more than 10 seconds to figure out you’re the problem.   The problem … Jerry is not going to fire himself.  Jerry likes doing everything.   Yes, we have an issue … the Cowboys aren’t competing and Jerry Jones is the problem.

There has to be a way around it that Jerry Jones can hire someone and still save face. Maybe Jones should be GM and someone else should be hired to be head of football operations or something.
Jerry Jones has been trying to prove that he can get it done without Jimmy Johnson since his loud mouth sent Jimmy packing.

Well, Romo did play a pro-bowl type year … 4300+ yards … 31 TD …. only 10 INT …. 102 QB Rating (Cowboys Record). It is amazing what Tony Romo did, considering this …..
The issue on offense is the HORRIBLE play on the offensive line and the inconsistency for the running back position. If DeMarco Murray was not hurt, they would have made a run deep into the playoffs. Felix Jones get hurt way too often.

Your are right, Craig! They should hire a big name consultant and call him VP of ????. They need another football guy to bounce ideas around (who knows football inside and out) …. possibly a former GM or former Head Coach (Parcells) … heck, hire Mel Kiper from ESPN.
