Cowboys Stadium | Dallas CowboysPLAYER NOTES

—TE Martellus Bennett is unlikely to play against the Giants this week after suffering a rib injury against the Cardinals.

—FB Tony Fiammetta said he is ready to return to action after missing the past three games with an unknown illness. He said he would play Sunday. The Cowboys’ running game has missed him dearly. DeMarco Murray rushed for 601 yards with him during his first four games as a starter and just 198 the past three games without Fiammetta leading the way.

—WR Miles Austin is expected to play against the Giants after missing the past four games with a hamstring injury. He will practice with the team in preparation for the showdown Sunday.

—S Abe Elam will bury his father, Rev. Donald Elam Sr., on Friday, but he will be back for Sunday’s game against the Giants. Elam played against the Cardinals just three days after he learned of his father’s death. He said he appreciates the support of his teammates and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who let him use his private jet to fly back and forth to Florida. He said his Cowboys family is important to him as well and he’s going to give all he has.
