Robert Toms Kirt Webster (Webster PR), and Gloria Estefan (4th from left), Hank Williams Jr. (6th. from left), Robert Toms (8th from left, Director ESPN), Mary Michael (Webster PR) and Ken Levitan (Manager) attend the taping for the 40th Anniversary of Monday Night Football at Centennial Park in the Parthenon on June 22, 2009 in Nashville, Tennessee.

The country singer who sings the theme song for ESPN’s “Monday Night Football,” Hank Williams Jr.,  has been taken off tonight’s broadcast following comments in which he compared President Obama to Hitler.
Based on an interview on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” Williams compared the summer golf summit between Obama and House Speaker John Boehner as “one of the biggest political mistakes ever,”.  That turned a lot of people off.”  Williams stated, “It would be like Hitler playing golf with [Israeli leader] Benjamin Netanyahu, in the shape this country’s in?”  Asked to explain his comparison analogy, Williams said Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are “the enemy,” adding for some reason that they were “The Three Stooges.”

In a media statement, ESPN executives stated: “While Hank Williams Jr. is not an ESPN employee, we recognize he is closely linked to our company through the opening of ‘Monday Night Football.’ We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and as a result have decided to pull the open from tonight’s telecast.”

We have become a nation of thin skinned people,we are a nation of people who refuse to allow opposing views,if we don’t agree then we are a right winger or left winger and we need to be fired, let go,run off!we are suppose to agree, never express our opinion if it differs.Hank Williams was done wrong simply because his analogy was based on a president that we are not allowed to critize, point out failures or mistakes.espn can do as it pleases but it will not stifle free speech.GOD BLESS the 1ST amendment and our right to speak our minds.
