Akwasi Owusu-Ansah | Dallas Cowboys

Jerry Jones and Jason Garrett switched a player from safety to receiver.  Strange, but interesting, right? Dallas Cowboys safety, Akwasi Owusu-Ansah, (practice squad), is now playing wide receiver and wearing the Number 11 jersey.  The Cowboys selected Owusu-Ansah in the fourth-round 2010 out of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  The Cowboys are hoping for a large potential for growth from his raw skills.

Owusu-Ansah returned 25 kickoffs for 543 yards before suffering a season-ending ankle injury last October against Jacksonville. Although he did not play any defensive snaps, Owusu-Ansah appeared in seven games last year. At training camp, Owusu-Ansah was cut, because of the signing of Gerald Sensabaugh and Abram Elam and the Cowboys signed him to the practice squad.
